Meeting with Key Stakeholders on Sierra Leone’s Constitutional Review Process
As part of ongoing consultations with key stakeholders on Sierra Leone’s constitutional review process and the accompanying electoral reforms, we held a high-level briefing with the UN Resident Coordinator Seraphine Wakana and Chiefs of Mission of development partners in the country. Our development partners have accompanied this process over the past 20 years and continued engagement with them is a crucial part of this journey. We explained the process, discussed the proposed reforms, obtained feedback, and reinforced the need to keep this as an inclusive and participatory process.

We are calling on groups and/or individuals to submit position papers to Parliament on the Constitution of Sierra Leone Amendment Bill. This is an open process and we want this to be owned by the people of Sierra Leone. Broad perspectives will enrich the outcome of this process. Let’s do this together.
